Textfile “Innovations in Teacher Training” Volume One, (Teacher Trainers)

The IP “Modernisation of Europe by Innovating Teacher Training” is a short and concise course extending some core areas of the newly designed EMETT curriculum. Since a 10-day period is meant mainly for workshops, seminars, discussions, the student participants of the IP will have to do the background study of the IP subjects themselves. This suggests an elegant solution to the application of blended learning approach, when all the subject-based theoretical courses will be placed online and the participants will arrive having gained some awareness of the subject(s).

It is an electronic compilation of the presentations to be delivered by the academic staff on current tendencies and challenges in Teacher training during the IP course. All the text files are planned to be recorded on a CD and downloaded on the websites of EMETT (http://www.emett.eu) and the Institute of Foreign Languages (http://www.meitt.uki.vu.lt) next to the material necessary to prepare for IP. These files could serve for the further usage of the EMETT programme participants. Language – EN.

Textfile “Innovations in Teacher Training” Volume Two, (Student Teachers)

The general task that unites all the subjects comprising the IP is to “draw” a picture of a contemporary European teacher from different angles and perspectives. Identification and analysis of the factors that constitute the image of an excellent teacher and contribute to his creation also are meant to be as sub-themes of the IP course.

It is a type of a report based on students’ presentations on the picture of an Innovative European Teacher. The nature of the students’ presentations will vary: some of them will arrive with ready-made presentations, some of them will develop new ones during the stay in Vilnius as a combination of theory and practice, i.e. examples of good practice and positive solutions of the aroused problems. This set of text files which authors are the future teachers are also planned to be recorded on a CD and downloaded on the websites of EMETT (http://www.emett.eu) and the Institute of Foreign Languages (http://www.meitt.uki.vu.lt) These files could serve for the further usage of the EMETT programme participants. Language – EN.
